I met my counter part . - Chyhi's diary

いつもランチはお弁当を作っていっているのですが今日は奮発して日本食レストランへ。

唐揚げ丼が美味しかった。
こんなに何もない道に突然レストランが現れました。

日本人の女性が経営されているようです。現在一時帰国中でお会い出来ませんでした。
Today I went to a Japanese restaurant which is managed by a Japanese woman at lunch.
We ate ‘karaage donburi’,’somen’and’sushi’.
It has been a long time since I last ate Japanese food in a restaurant,and it was so delicious.
I will try cooking ‘karaage’someday.

今日の午後はピジン語の先生と一緒に街を歩き博物館へ行きました。ソロモンの歴史を学びました。
ソロモンの言語コーナーではこんな地図が。たくさんの言語が話されています。
ピジン語に似ている物もあれば全く似ていない物もある。

写真は同じ文章を様々な言語で書かれている図です。
ちなみに日本語でも書かれていました。
私の行くマルーではトーバイタという言葉が話されています。また現地に行ったら勉強しないといけません。
その前に来週ピジン語でプレゼンテーションをしなくてはいけません！

Todays afternoon class we went to town with teacher,and we went to a museum of history,and I learned history of Solomon.
This is my Pijin teacher .
We must do a presentation in Pijin next week at once ,I will do my best.

放課後は２社から新聞取材がありました。
色々と質問があったので頑張って英語とピジン語を混ぜながら話せました。
どちらももっと流暢に話したいなぁ〜〜。
And we are interviewed by reporters for newspaper.They asked us a lot of questions, for example what I think about Solomon,what I want to do in Solomon and what is my plan about my work.I answered in English and Pijin ,and I did my best .I’m looking forward to reading tomorrow’s newspaper.

そして今日は私のカウンターパートになる予定のジェニーがホニアラに来ていたので会う事ができました。とっても優しくて頼りになりそうな方でした。ジェニーは、私たちが居るから大丈夫、心配しないでね。一緒に仕事を楽しみましょう！何か不安なことがあったらいつでも言ってねと言ってくれました。
私の前任者の方がとっても信頼されていて、日本人に対してとっても良いイメージがあると言われました。
ありがたいです。先輩隊員の方々に感謝です。
After that I met my counterpart Jenny .She stays at Honiara now,and we could meet each other.She is so kind,and she said ‘people in Maluu is looking forward to seeing me and don’t worry ,and please rely on them.’ My house build near hospital and neighbor is staff of the hospital. I was relieved about hearing that.
